    Poem Commentary

Too many times to count the nights?????

    FORBIDDEN SUNSET

    I awake at morning's breath
My heart is sad and low
    Setting out into the world
    Not knowing where to go

The sun now straight up in the sky
Tears fall like drops of rain
Pushing on to meet my goal
    Unable to end the pain

The light now begins to fade
    My love not found yet
    Another lonely night ahead
    Another forbidden sunset

Hey Sam, there's always tomorrow..........and the weather may be just a bit warmer.........put your snappy sunglasses on, and look on down the road, she is just up the road, and around the bend. A terrific short write by you..............................gogant

gogant. Thanks for your great comment. I was on the road tp Phoenix the day you sent this. First vacation since at least 2007? I found mine, but she's oversea's. 18 months and I believe we are soon to be together. Thank you for your comment. Morning, noon and night started each verse, my hook on the poem. Blessings,,,Sam. I'm not on here much, but as soon as I catch up from vacation I'll read some of yours. Me again, hehe.

Ah Sam I've been following you around by reading your poetry which I really love reading aloud. I do wish you the kind of happiness your looking for but I have a good feeling it may be right in front of your nose.

Thank you very much and for the rating. I just received a letter from another contest, this is a finalist with a chance at $2500.00. Money will never take away memories, but it's great to have when needed. Be blessed and again thanks.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
