If I Play The Sad Songs Backwards

I lost it all in a hurry
She said she had to go
    On a cold winter morning
    A February snow
She packed the kids in the front seat
And the dog in the back
    Started up the Ram Charger
    She's never coming back

If I play the sad songs backwards
Will I get back my life?
My two kids playing in the backyard
    And my dear loving wife?
A pickup truck in the driveway
    Barbeques that are fun?
If I play the sad songs backwards
Will life shine like the sun?

It's funny how you loose it
When you think you've got it made
    A house that's so lonely
    No August shade
    All alone in the bedroom
    With a radio tune
    Looking out of my window
    Her face in the moon

She packed the kids in the front seat
And the dog in the back
    Started up the Ram Charger
    Ain't never coming back

If I play the sad somngs backwards
Will I get back my life?

This one's sad, but the emotion that's displayed is AWESOME, and it's got a good flow. Nice job. All the best -Marion-

Dear Marion. I didn't recieve this sweet comment. I had troubles with yahoo mail putting much of my mail into auto delete spam? I didn't realize it until my main poetry site where I get from 10-30 e-mails a day stopped. Thank you and I'm getting ready to start calling record labels again since this won a huge Billboard award. Bless'n's many,,,,Sam.

Who knows cowboy what the future holds. Your question in the last two llnes is best answered by you. Yep, the answer lies within you and if you twang a bit more ... you may come upon the answer. Its all up to you. The lines you write are lyrical and I hope their the words of a poet writing a nice poem........is just that. Or, if not I wish you the best in life but take heed and listen closely to the rhythmns and they will give you an answer.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
