    "Lonely"

    Lonely
    I'm so lonely
    Sitting by myself
Dreams of the girl I love
I put them on a shelf
Sleeps the only peace I get
    But it's not every night
Awake or sleep it doe's not mind
    I have this inner fight
Has God turned His back on me
    And satan took His place?
For in the mirror I look each day
    I cannot hide my face
    Why am I so repulsive
O nly married women hit on me?
The only thing I ask of God
    Is to be happy
    Lonely
    I'm so lonely
    Sitting by myself

    Sam K. Dyer.

I really enjoyed reading your this one.. I have a speacial quote that was once told to me and it gave me some inspiration. I hope you like it. " I've come to realize that you can't get what you want usually. You can't just sit there waiting to be noticed. You can't sit there expecting someone to love you, because the person who feels the same way just may be waiting and sitting like you are. You just need to find eachother"

You are very correct. I've been hurt many times as my love is real. I pray you are not going through this as it's a terrible feeling we've all felt at sometime. I have found my other half I pray. We've not met in person as she is Philippino. But she's great. Thanks for you inspiration. Sam.

I can feel your pain in this piece, and your choice of words were great and painting the picture of your pain. I enjoyed reading this and I can relate to the pain of loneliness as I've been a widow for almost 12 years. I had almost given up on finding someone who would love me for who I am til I met a wonderful man and we've been talking online and on the phone for awhile. We have many things in common. I wish well in your life's quest for a soul mate. Don't give up hope, sometimes it takes time and patience in finding the connection with the right heart. Keep writing your feelings and thoughts down and sharing them with others. I found that doing this helps with some of the pain of loneliness. And who knows you may come across another soul such as yours and you'll have so much to share and can help one another with the healing as you love each other. Feel free to comment on mine and write if you need someone to talk to . Take Care, kyma63

Thank you for such a touching critique of my wiorks and feelings. I've been hurt many times. I found my sould mate online and phone also. I am working on bringing her from the Philippines to me as soon as I am able. I'm trying to call her now. I've never met a sweeter girl as I gave up on American women 3 yrs ago. I will read and vote on your poetry ,but I am feeling ill today. Take care and God bless. Songmapoet, Sam.
