The Forgotten
I wrote a song for the forgotten, who are there but no one sees
They lie in the shadows and the alleys never will they be free.
I write a song for for all the lonely, they never seem to fit in.
All the days of restless spirits, waiting just around the bend.
Listen close and you may hear them, letting out a silent cry,
There is anguish and resentment, it will last until they die.
Nothing ever seems to help them, and the world doesn't care,
They fade into the masses, void of hope with vacant stares.
Look close and you may see them, accros the street or next door,
All that's needed is compassion, love and little more.
Take the time to care for others, and you may find your true heart,
Life is far to short to waste it, join us now to make the start.
Chorus
Don't let the world break your spirit,
Don't let the world get you down.
We can make this place so much better,
If we gather round.
