    Idea of Sorts

    Invokes the idea of sorts,
    The Sort itself knows not.
    But ranks the highest
    Among the structured lot.

    Integrated with the bunch
    Yet gleams for all to see,
    The others only disregard
    What this one means to be.

    Overlooked so many times
    And never a word retorts;
    The sufferer of ignorance
    Remains the image of sorts.

    A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
