Long I’ve Tried to Escape

Long I’ve Tried to Escape

Loneliness reminds me of

Failing and betraying love

I let it go to find my state

And until now I sit and wait

I sought solitude to suffer alone

I built walls yet have no home

Reason after reason,

Excuse after excuse

I still haven’t decided which path to chose

this is a very touching poem, for all of those who know how you feel it reaches down deep into our soul and makes us want to strive for more

I wish i were there to keep you company. Great write dear, go no.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
