Just Walk Away

Just Walk Away

Bored, Nothing to do,
And that’s nothing new,
This town is boring

There are no jobs,
And not much left but ghosts around
In this ghost town,

I just sit here, drinking a beer
Wondering why, I’m still here
I spend my days, trying to walk away
But this is home, and I want to stay

Its time to just walk away,
How can I just walk away from everyone
Its time to just walk away

Nothing to do,
But sit here, and think of you
Sometimes I wish I could forget,
But if I did, I’m sure I would regret
I like my memories,
Even the ones that bother me

I try to walk away, everyday,
But something keeps making me stay

This is really good - I loved it! An everyday pedestrian life ............. Reminds me of Bruce Springsteen "I guess everyone has a lonely heart" _____ Hey, maybe you should submit them as lyrics - You never know? ' I like my memories, Even the ones that bother me' So agonizing but true ................ Good Job!

Interesting poem. Deep feelings for your hometown.

Poetry is what gets lost in translation.
