Lost, in a daydream

Lost, in a daydream

I’m getting lost, in a daydream,
Thinking about everything, and nothing, at the same time
I’m not even sure, what I’m thinking about
I just stare, into nowhere, lost, in a daydream

Everyone is afraid to see colors run together
Me, I love to see colors run together
Colors, are just variations of light, true light,
Consists of all colors, the only thing I fear,
Is the lack of light, the blinding darkness, with no colors to run

(daydream)

Why can’t I see what is right in front of me
I’m always searching the horizon for something new
Will I ever pull my head out of the clouds
So I can see what is right in front of me

There is nothing wrong with my vision
But I have always been a little far sided,
I’m always looking for what is out of reach
To blind to see what is right under my nose

(daydream)

Maybe I’m to scared to see it,
And maybe some of it, I don’t want to see
So I just, stare, into nowhere, lost, in a daydream

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
