    Lemon Jelly

    Lemon jelly
    sweet and tart
    sits upon my tongue

    it brings to mind
    images of your
    sundrenched skin

    sitting with our
    feet in the surf
    we feast

    you bite into
    a summer berry
    juice running

    leaning over
    to kiss your mouth
    our taste buds explode

    all of my senses alive
    with pleasure
    laying on the sand

    the tide is reaching
    we scramble to
    higher ground

    watching the water
    from a rock
    we take another bite
