Lieutenant Kaiser
I am with the SS Police
Special German Police
I’m despised by the Jews
I’m supposed to despise them
But I don’t
Most Germans don’t
I don’t sleep at night anymore
I dream of the Jews getting
Dragged out of their homes
I see the faces of the Jews
I watched being dragged off
The men and women I killed
Come before me
And I fill with dread.
