    Shadow Dancer

     Shadow dancer
    In your glass cage
    Hitting the walls
    Wanting to be let out
    Dance your dance
    And your freedom is
    Ensured.

    Enshrouded in gray
    Cast shadows
    Dancing the night away
    Laying the plans
    Of a fantasy dance.

    Flitting and flying
    Sprinkling her shadows
    All around
    Encompassing all attention
    Whilst her shadow
    Drifts ever so slowly
    Closer to her jailor's pocket

    Swirling and twirling
    Faster and faster
    Till her cage tips
    And spills all her Shadows.

    Releasing the light
    Trapt within and
    Blinding her jailor

    She flees ever so
    Gacefullly into the
    Darkest of nights.

    The want and need to be loosed from one's cage is oft a dream of fantasy...but that doesn't keep them from enjoying life...free as a lilting breeze............very nice piece...........................gogant

    Lengthen the poem, if you could. I think it'd really help your readers to understand a little bit more and not feel a little... lost and unfulfilled at the end. It's a beautiful start though.

    Though I do not understand this piece, the flow and the metering is perfect, so perfect that it danced me to the very end.
