Messed Up

Messed Up

Came home and wasn’t alone

Had too much to drink

Groggy—head all mixed up

Don’t touch me—NO!

Don’t you fucking dare

Touch me—I hate you

I hate you—I’m going to kill you

Don’t do that

Why can’t I move—what

Have you done—you dumb

Bastard—I’m going to kill you

Get off—don’t touch me

I hate you

Some one help me—please

Help me!

It happened – it really did

Please believe me—it wasn’t

My fault—I tried to stop him

I did…

Fine go- be that way

Take the ring with you.

Rape- it’s just a four letter

Word- what harm is there in that

A lot—destroyed my life-

Took everything from me

Don’t touch me—I don’t trust you.

Each line bleeds the pain created throughout the entire piece. One can take what we don't want to give, yet the peace that reigns within in knowing that he will get his is soothing. I can not begin to convey how yor words pierced my heart, I can only tell you that I am truly sorry for your loss and that the anger you feel is well granted. Lean not into your own understanding. This piece is well-written and presented. Outstanding job.

Thank you. I recently took a psych. class and was able to stand up and talk about it with out crying. I knew I was ready to let people read about it. It felt so good to be able to do that.

this is a really good poem....and yes it is a living hell to go through this bullshit......more than many of us will ever know....until you have something so personal taken from you that can never be given back.......then you don't know it.....so don't judge it......I'm sorry this happened to you and will include you in my prayers to be able to put the anger away...a 10

Thank you. I have tried to put it behind me and have gone on with my life. Putting it down on paper has really helped and putting it out there for people to see and read has helped even more. I just wanted to say thank you.

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
