Life Is Just Waiting To Die

    Life is waiting to die.
    Life is broken promises,
    Shattered dreams and
    Stupid ideas that children
    Invent.

    Life is naughty secrets.
Life is crying at night alone,
    Going to bed hungry,
    Hearing Mommy and Daddy fighting
    And hiding in a
    Closet.

    Life is old school teachers.
Life is feeling naked in front of the class
    Children laughing at your clothes
    Sitting alone at recess
    Eating stale peanut butter sandwiches
    Envying potato chip-eating bullies
    Afraid and without jam or
    Jelly.

Life is having no girl friends.
    Life is cheap haircuts
    Looking into mirrors in horror
Being the last one chosen in gym class
Waiting at the end of the line
Not able to speak out loud
    Even when you know the
    Aanswer.

Life is doing drugs to numb the pain.
Life is wanting to be anyone else but you
    Breaking into homes at night
Drinking the occupant’s beer with a
    9mm in your lap
    Wanting to die in
    A police shootout
Bleeding and alone in a dirty parking
    Lot.

    Life is waiting to die.
Life is being old and alone at night
With unbearable pain and no medication
Trying to remember just one happy moment
    Unable to do
    So.

Life is simply just waiting to die

Damn, you're good, my brother! Reading this, I felt as if each verse was about someone else, and I knew them all personally. I won't say which one was about me, but...10, Hell, Yeah!
