    Poem Commentary

This poem is written and dedicated to my son Theo who has Autism. Times have been rough these past few weeks. But I still love him and together will we make it through.

    Locked

    No way to release
the nightmares or memories of his mind
No body to hear that deep silent sigh
    Locks that may never open
    Rusted closed for sometime
Key lost forever that someone may never
    find.

    Actions are his words
    Tears his emotion shared
    Everything tumbling and jumbling
    inside.
He makes his way to bed.

    Toys put away.
    Lights low
He lays curled in a ball
    Doesn't even notice her soft
    footsteps outside in the hall.
    Sleep finally enters
And she kisses his sweet head
Sleep and her love are his only
    friends.

    She prayers in a whisper
    to God's ear she sends
    Lord please let my little
boy free from being locked within.

Thank you I wish you and your child the best. I pray someday they will lock the doors to these young minds

Snowfire...This was a very moving poem of love and devotion of a mother's love. Stay strong and your prayers will be answered in God's time. May you and your son be blessed with love, peace and happiness.

thank you for your words of strenght and encouragment. I can't express what they mean to me especially from a friend. Bless you

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
