The Nine
The "Nine" stand strong in my mindAll of them in their place and time.
One was lonely all the time. She Had
been forgotten by time.
The Second one was angry had to have her
own. But time has a way to take what was owed.
Third one was giving she left nothing for herself
Her hand rocked many a cradle but not for herself.
The Fourth worked hard left no time to rest.
Her family was all that mattered she gave nothing
but the best.
Five was very serious and often thought of only herself
Her life was empty like the glasses on the kitchen shelf.
Six had to stand out on his own. Often he was away
and never called home.
Seven was all forgiving. Tried to make peace between
all. Her life was the richest as she gave to one and all.
Eight took to flights of fancy. Not restraints did she allow
Freedom from all rules hanging out with the crowd.
Number Nine was off to roam. He never had a true place
to call his own. He set out to see the world with no regard
for others pain. Now he sits there sadly with nobody to blame.
