Looking Out
In a sunny glade where shadows dance,
A mongoose makes a daring prance.
A dog with fur of golden sheen
Barks lazily upon the dry concrete.
A cat with eyes of emerald light
Slips through the fence both sleek and bright.
A lizard basks upon a stone,
Absorbing warmth, content alone.
A mosquito hums its tiny song,
Flitting restlessly along.
In this lively, vibrant scene,
Nature thrives, serene, unseen.
Upon this lazy day,
Rues crescent ways has played.
Summer time blues we sing.
As time passes by.
