    My Light

    Do you see the stars
    When you go to bed
    Do you see the Angels
    Dancing in your head
Do you see the loved ones
    Who went away
    If I had one wish
    I'd wish they could stay
When you think about the past
Does it bring a smile to your face
If you really think about it
    They're in a better place
    There's no more hurt
    No more pain
Now I know why the heavens sing
You don't want us to cry
You want us to be strong
Your memory will always live on
In our hearts, and in our minds
Like a star you will shine
As you look down, and guide me
    To live my life right
i want to say thank you
    For being....

Not bad. Many people will respond to the topic. What happened, however, to the rhyme scheme? It was abcb for 12 lines--then poof, out it went not to be resurrected until the last four. Sorry if I'm being picky.

This one is right on time. Because over the last year I have a lot of stars shining bright in the sky and like you say they are in a better place. Keep up the good work and continue to write you have a gift.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
