    Poem Commentary

I cut timber for a short time, and it absolutely killed me to be cutting down the habitat that I so enjoy. This poem was spur of the moment, but I hope it portrays the message that I want to get across...we as humans are slowly killing creation. I am no tree hugger, and no animal right's activist. I simply enjoy nature, and would like to preserve some part of it for future generations. Please consider your children and their children. Will they be able to enjoy wildlife as we know it now? Do we enjoy it as our forefathers? The answer is simple...NO.

    Nature's Voice

    Dancing daffodils
    Waving in time
    To the sweet music
    Of the whispering wind

    Moaning aspens
    Lending melody
    To babbling brook
    And buzzing bees

    Singing songbirds
    Joining orchestra
    Thumping wings
    To Nature's beat

    Grazing elk
    Trumpeting bugles
    Echoing resoundingly
    From silent rocks...

    Splashing salmon
    Jumping waterfall
    Caught in mid-air
    By grizzly's teeth

    Screaming eagle
    Soaring heights
    Searching the meadow
    For quaking mouse

              -\\--\\-

    Chainsaw sputters
    Tranquility broken
    As unnatural sound
    Drowns Nature's voice...

    Silence lingers...
    Deafening quiet...
    Who killed the music
    Of God's creation?

i love nature too! but i also love eating the animals, deer, rabbit, squirrels and turtles fish and such. no matter if we shoot them or or or cut a tree down or not, someone else will always be their to fill our shoes double. i hate how e americans waste so much food however and paper though. theres a factory in goergia making chop sticks for china. THATS BULLSHIT! cut down their own danm trees! i love trees! but i hate the leaves in the fall on the ground that is.. Anywho, i like the way you wrote this.

Unworthy, You are certainly worthy in my book. This is a beautiful piece that takes us right there... into the sacred heart of nature. Very well written, my friend. I have one along similar lines that I bet you'd like. It's called "The Reason Why": http://www.originalpoetry.com/the-reason-why I'll give you a little heads up (as a fellow poet). What I had in mind with this piece is that almost uncanny connection to nature that small children have. Their fascination with caterpillars, butterflies, birds and the other manifestations of nature is amazing to watch. I wonder how it is that so many lose touch with that? At any rate, this piece is very worthy in my opinion, my friend.

Well expressed my friend. I esp. noticed as U wrote.. Splashing salmon Jumping waterfall Caught in mid-air By grizzly's teeth Screaming eagle Soaring heights Searching the meadow For quaking mouse -\\--\\- Chainsaw sputters Tranquility broken As unnatural sound Drowns Nature's voice... Silence lingers... Deafening quiet... Who killed the music Of God's creation?.. How there is a music even in the death of a creature when it is taken and used in GODS natural current yet temporal plan. Such as animals being killed for food and survival purposes. Even though all do not eat meat, there is a natural flow of nesscessity that doe's not break the flow of what is allowed and respected of our creator and what is out of place with His beneficial will for mankind and creation it's self. very nicely written and expressed in detail as the mouse quaking out of fear of the eagle...thank You for this piece as we are brought to think upon the importance of the beauty and wonder and our stewardship over the land, seas, lakes, and wildlife as it flows according to the natural design and plan of our Creators will. again...well done beloved...well done...Spiritsong"

Beautifully written-I feel the same_I worry that the wild areas will be gone someday-I seen a lot of forest habitat wiped away in my area (NH)...Earthly

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
