Phoenix
The last timewill it be?
When strangers find each other,
friendships made to last?
I am last.
I am lost.
The happiness is strained.
The phoenix cannot find
a safe place to land.
That- the glint of fiery feathers,
the call of life anew-
that single thing I want the most
is swaying closer still.
Great bird, land on my open hands.
You are heavy, but I will stand
here as your support.
You are my only chance.
Lend your perfect balance to mine.
Oh, bird of rebirth,
touch my desires.
Show me the path,
the way to heavenly bliss.
You know what I've fought for
and have seen the bloodshed.
My tears fall on you
before they even hit the ground.
Avian fair, give me the power
to rise from the past
an shine on those whom I love.
Let me burn my enemies alive.
Let me be one
with all I have ever cared about.
Let me fly at last.
Rise up, with your majesty and message
of life and second chances
to all who believe
in redemption and renewal.
