    Poem Commentary

    Poet

    Pouring thoughts
    from falling tears
    brought up by despair.

    What's destructive.
    What creates real pain.
    Complicates and weighs down.

    Troubles lost in words
    never forgotten.
    Only lingering on paper
    waiting to be felt
    and understood.

    Thoughts flying off of every
    tear that dropped
    between words, feeling,
and the day where no one is
    around and with nothing, but
    paper to make emotion
    into words.

Sometimes the writing resolves the hurts and helps us to see clearer. Well said

You know it. The paper cries both with me and for me. It befriends me in my madness and backs me up when I'm overwhelmed. With the paper, let loose......

Exactly, this poem is meant to show the connection between the poet and the pen and paper. Thanx for your comments.

This poem is a more serious side to poetry. I like it. Th anks for sharing.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
