    Poem Commentary

    Broken

    Look at me,
see the beauty you once did.
    Watch my smile.
    Hear my laugh.

    Admire what I do,
my voice with its soft tone.
    My body movement,
    my thoughts.

    Put your arms around me.
    Touch my smooth skin.
Close your eyes when you kiss me.
    Hug me tight.

    Look into my hazel eyes
as the light glistens off my tears.
Talk to me like a friend.
Love me like you use to.

    Make your honesty constant.
    Want to be with me.
    Try to see me.
    Stop breaking me.

This reminds me of some of my early poems, full of strong emotions and a desire to be known. Nice work!

You know who you are. Great writing. Even though it hurts, Keep growing and many will see the beauty in your writing and in your soul.

Hell yes demand respect. Shout your confidence. Know yourself. Demand to be earned. Challenge their eyes until they look away. I love the energy of this poem. It points to its own eyes and says -Here. Look right here-. Beautiful.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
