    • Just posted a poem titled "As I grow older".

    pride

While lost in dark and in a fog

A man discovered a puppy dog

Put on a leash he kept it near

Soon his love, it was so dear

At first fed scraps ever so small

Puppies hardly require anything at all

His appetite increased, desiring more to eat

Larger he grew, his body, his head and his feet

Now a dog he was out of control

He ate the leash, the man, and his very soul

This little puppy was the man’s ego inside

Were he grew and grew into a dog named pride

Oh this one...very,very, clever! Once in a blue moon, I will read something, and Ill think-By gosh, where did that writer come up with such a cool idea, What a mind-well,my dear-the moon must be the bluest of sapphire tonight...because this poem is the shiznit! How amazingly intresting this ending was. Yet so true, and once again-ya kept it simple! Which at times I find quite refreshing. Another goodie!-Maddi

I love it. I like the alegory of a dog being pride. Very cleaver.

Thanks. A dog can be vicious, but not as vicious as pride. Glad you liked it.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
