    Promise to Remember...


    I need to hold you close to me...
    if only for a while..
    And as the tears slip down my cheeks..
    you turn to me and smile..
    I'll take your laughter with me..
    I'll think of you each day..
    Promise to remember me..
    All along life's way..
    I cannot take you with me..
    But you know I wish I could..
    I guess God has special plans for you..
    If I could stay..you know I would..
    My wishes for you are many..
    The prayers come from my heart..
    Promise to remember me..
    When I'm gone..at your life's start..
    As you close your eyes at night..
    Promise to remember..
    I may be in heaven's arms..
    And with me, always, your love so tender.

    thank you. absolutely true. death is final but the memories we make last on in the lives of those we leave behind....we hope we've done our very best to make memories that will bring a smile to their faces and laughter in their lives when thoughts of us run through their minds ...that maybe those memories will be shared with others in their lives. thank you again for reading it and for your comment
