" A POEM FOR MARIVIC "
“A POEM FOR MARIVIC”
Moments I dear when chances I have
To stare directly or to look at you surreptitiously
Because eyes, I possesses to admire you only.
Apple of my eyes, happiness my life has
The dream I have dreamt
The fulfillment I wish to fulfill.
Roses and roses to give you I swear
But blame me not if at my best
My promises in reality it fails.
In real life things are not all joy
Vicissitude there is when rich became poor
But my love for you will subsist for better or for worse.
Verily, words like poems may not suffice
But then to say I love you ‘til the end of time
Surely will not be a waste of time.
Indeed, I have only one precious life to live
One heart that beat a warm passion for love
That one life and one heart to you alone I will give.
Certainly and truly I labor my poem
I fill it with no jokes so that worth may be valued
By the woman I loved most, Marivic.
