"God is so generous, God is so kind"
“God is so generous, God is so kind”
If I will die today
With peace in my heart
Real contentment and happiness
You can read in my eyes
We are blessed with parents
Six of us who are so fortunate
Devoid of material pleasures
Richly showered with parental love
I went to school to learn
Far and long I have to walk
Wearing old pants and shirts
No books, no projects, no food for recess
Got a lot of annoying insults
From males and opposite sex classmates
I reaped honors and accolade
To wear proud smiles to my parents’ lips
Witnessed my eldest brothers’ pain
As he slowly lost his sight
Fail me in my CPA board exam, I say to God
Just restore my dear brothers’ eye sights
Nearly each day I went to church
My pledge will stay I prayed; I say to God
Forgive me; I have the desire to pass
My Heart confused, my head aches a lot
Come judgment day, so surprised I was
Brothers’ eye sights improved a lot
I passed the board though not so high
God indeed is so generous and kind
Look for a job for the first time
Going home riding in a bus
Feel like flying not high on drugs
So easily I got hired
Chosen chess and bowling
As my leisure and sports
Win or lost
I gained some friends
Married my college sweetheart
Blessed with two kids
Both healthy and normal
God is so generous, God is so kind
My life is colorful, not complex
Adorned with simplicity attuned to reality
Wealth so sufficient to meet both ends
Life filled with love and happiness not agony
Yes, if I will die today
And you desire to open my heart
It is filled with abundant love and thanks
For our God who is so generous and kind.
