Seeing Thru The Mist of Fear

Seeing thru the Mist of Fear

I stand and stare, at you, thu the misty haze.
The unsurety I feel, comes from hurts and scars I carry this day.
I am not sure of my steps, or these feelings inside.
I am not sure of your heart, or the feelings you try to hide.
Your eyes resemble a mist, thick with dampness and gloom.
I search them for happiness, but there seems to be no room.
Oh for the sun, to makes things clear.
To burn away all these fears.
To reveal truth, and not what I want to see.
To show the real you, to me.
    Linda R Reed

Beware of eyes you cannot read. Either the soul is dead, or calculatingly deceptive. Bad news either way. There are good men with clear eyes, have patience and wait.....

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

    Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
