Yonder Comes The Rain
Yonder comes the Rain
I scan the horizon, and feel the winds chill.
I see a storm brewing, I stand silently still.
In the distance I hear the thunder as it rumbles, roars, and groans.
I see it tease the sky, until it zings in deafening tones.
I see the scurry of leaves, debris and such.
But I stand silently still, waiting for its touch.
When the sky all around is blue with shades of lavender and rose.
Everyone leaves me,I stand here in my pose.
Arms stretched out to recieve, it seems, a long lost friend.
I shout at the top of my voice. "Yonder comes the rain, again."
And as the thunder crashes, and the lightening roars.
I embrace the dampness, knowing there is more.
And as I stand wet and quietly still.
I see the rain, disappear, over yonder hill.
