    So Far The Distance

    So Far the Distance
How far is too far, for love to span the abyss?
Can you measure distance, can you qualify a kiss?
Can you tell me the distance is too far.
Or can our love be your guiding star.
Miles between us, but does that hinder your desire.
Or does the absence only kindle our passionate fire.
When the miles are spanned for a short brief time,
two hearts are joined, two bodies entwined.
Then the parting comes, and the distance once again plays it's hand.
but really how far is the distance, when love conquers the land.
Its only a mere call, a sweet pose written in ink,
and once again the distance, becomes a mere blink.
How far the distance, measure it from above.
You will find its nothing, when spanned with wings of love.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
