Soldier's Scroll
In the land of sand and oil,
Fleet of soldiers assemble.
In the land of turmoil,
he’s companion is his faithful rifle.
In a place thunders no longer rumble,
Is where he settles.
Moon no longer lights the night,
But fire illuminates the sky.
In his scroll sadness is found,
Hurting for the lose of innocent lives .
Whimpering in his bedside,
Wishing he will no longer cry.
Lonely days he writes in his scroll,
Sitting alone in a deserted pasture.
Ailing and longing to go back home,
For a peaceful place where he truly belongs.
