SWEET ALL OVER

Poem Commentary

Memories are great to have. But they mess with the other senses. Karla, I miss you

SWEET ALL OVER

The sweetest thing I've ever tasted
The touch of your lips...pressed against mine
One moment can seem like a thousand years
but those years worth the wait
But that one kiss can last forever, standing still our time

The softness raises the temperature
Hotter then the sands of Gods
More dangerous then the curse of Kings
Pounding rain with sounds of a forbidden overture
Passion that shines brighter then any ring

My hand trembles. My heart flutters
My mind walks across a hidden paradise
Shaking my soul inside out
Emotions running so hot! So Hot!
Melts the thickest heart of ice

With love that buries any doubts
Every inch of your body I still crave
Its an addiction, that I can't deny
Valor behind the eyes
That makes even the weakest feel a little brave

Daring the bleakest of hopes, Once again I shall try
Its just a memory, a memory so sweet
...locked away deep down inside
I know your lips cry out for mine
Search your heart, this you can no longer deny

With every waking hour and every sleepless night
My trust is walking behind you.
just waiting to hold you tight
Whether it be tonight...tomorrow or never
I am strong enough to carry on this weary fight

I will leave the door to my heart
Wide enough for you to walk through
I know you will make me smile once again
Like the fourth of July, Sparks will fly
And ignite your desire to be more then a friend

I will never give up the war...swallowing on sorrows forever
I will pray to God, the sun, or whom ever
To give us the power to trust in what we feel
Because that kiss is just that
A kiss! But you must admit! It gave you chills

So we battle
Strong enough...should again if our lips are to meet
When that kiss has finished
I hope you're strong enough so see
...letting our lust run free
Sweet All Over...is the taste that comes rushing back to me

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
