Tell Momma I will Be There

Tell Momma I will Be There

When I was in my younger years,
How well I recollect
How much I greived my mother
With my careless folly and my neglect.

Now my Momma, she is in Heaven
I so miss her tender care
Oh Jesus, Please tell Momma,
That someday I will be there

She was always kind and good
Though I was often wayward and prude
So loving, patient and gentle she was
When I acted so hateful and rude;

All my greif's and trials
With me she would gladly share
Oh Jesus, Please tell Momma
That someday I will be there.

Before my savior took her home,
I stood there by her side.
I told her I would see her in heaven
I promised her this before she died.

So all of Heaven's glory and beauty
With her I will share.
Oh Jesus, please tell Momma
That someday I will be there.

I know how you feel darlin. I wrote a poem about my mother four days after she died. And I told her just before she died that we would be together again as well. Bless you sweetie.

God you made me cry! This is beautiful. Trust me Momma knows and is very proud of you. By the way you talked of yourself as a little pudgy. please take that out. There is more beauty in you than a perfect ten body could ever express! Your man is waiting for you and he will surely your total and complete beauty. Write on dear one, try not to make me cry too much!

Thank you so much for saying what you did about my weight..I am pudgy. I hope someday I find a man that see's the beauty you talk about instead of what is on the outside...I hope that man is out there, And I pray that God will send him my way...Lonliness is really starting to set in in my life...I really don't like that...But I just wanted to say Thank you and God Bless you for your kind words...

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
