    The Forbidden Affair

    This means more to me
    Than it does to you.
    The things we say
    The things we do.

    Your my very best friend
    For me, it's become more
    It's become intimate
And you, I've come to adore.

    The touch of your lips
    And your shoulders so wide
    My feelings are there
    I have nothing to hide.

    The secret places we meet
    This secret love affair
    The passionate love we make
    The soft kisses we share

    You have lost interest
In the games we use to play
I don't get the emails now
with the naughty things you use to say.

    I feel something went wrong
    I don't really know why
    I feel my heart breaking
    I just want to cry.

I have sat and pondered this
    My head's still not cleared
    It's clouded by a smile
Peeking through a snow white beard.

    My dreams and my fantasies
Have all come to an end.
    I imagine someone found out
That your more than my friend.

All the sex we had laying on the beach
With the waves brushing my hair
    The passion and the lust
    Of this Forbidden Affair.

I wish we could go back
    To the way things were.
It will never be the same now.
It is all because of her.

I know she is the one
The one with whom I can't compete.
So I will hang my head and dissapear
    In the agony of defeat.

You'll always by my love, And I'll never forget
All the precious memories that we share
    And the Hidden Secrets
    Of this Forbidden Affair.

I wrote this poem about a man I fell in love with several years ago. He was my best freind for a long time. He was married but I feel so head over heels in love with him. "I really miss the times we talked and shared things" He was almost my soulmate

thanks for bearing your soul - try my "With Hearts Contiuning To Race"

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
