The Ghost of Me
As I asleep, I had a dream that wasn't quite right
Things were not so smooth, was a long night.
The dream that I had was unusually strange
I dreamt of life beyond, it's time for a change.
I walk around silent, not making a sound
Not hearing a peep, not a soul stirring around.
My feet never touch ground, my float is on thin air
I tap on your shoulder, disappear like I was never there.
I disappear like the wind, easily blown away
I can come back but 3 words you know you gotta say.
I say these words with such fire and such fury
I was found guilty and executed by my peers in a jury.
The pain, I can take, the outcome was light
If you think this is wrong, me being "Ghost" is alright.
I carry my chains wrapped around me for the sins I cast
I'm paying for mistakes that molded my uncertain past.
Things seem funny, people can be cruel to the touch
Having life as a lost soul can be as bit too much.
My heart feeling heavy, my feet are light as can be
I guess that's what goes on beyond "The Ghost of Me".
