    The Surprise
    I want to feel my heart
    touched by a surprise
    an unspoken gesture
    that makes me want to cry

    I want to feel the wonder
    of something I'd never guess
    a mid-day quick hello
    an unexpected kiss

    I want to hear my name
    mentioned as a friend
    talk of all our fun
    and seeing me again

    I want that special gift
    not something you can buy
    the sharing of a moment
    a look into my eyes

    I want to be amazed
    my words are on your mind
    shared across your page
    the best surprise to find
