    Poem Commentary

    sitting across from her one day, i realized that her eyes were not just blue, but many, many beautiful colours, most of which i have never seen. they say we will witness new colours in heaven if we are so fortunate. i have already seen some of these in her eyes.

    your eyes are a thousand colours
    ten billion others cannot catch the beauty of yours
    i feel adored when they see me
    and welcome me into a room

    i love to look at you
    those looks turn to stares
    for my eyes love you, too
    and those stares burn into long loving gazings

    here is where your eyes do their delicate dance
    a kaleidoscope of brilliant things
    rings of color and hope circle me, wrap me
    as fire burns twice in blue electric ice

    and reveals this beautiful girl

    my god, i love her. lol. sometimes i forget how much a part of me she is/was. i am reminded of her when i read the words i dedicate. i miss her.
