Walk on Water
It's always the first step that is the hardest,
Making sure you don't slip,
It's not the eggshells you crush,
Even with every step you try not too,
It's the faith you have that keeps you from sinking,
Even when your up to your neck, About to drown,
Walking on water, Trying not to fall,
Watching the cracks, Avoiding the thin ice,
Looking into her eyes, Trying to read her emotions,
We're not perfect, We make mistakes,
We look for approval, We desire forgiveness,
Stubborn we are, Think were right,
One look from you and humble we become,
So with this rose, we kneel before you,
You smile and shed a tear, A tear that owns this heart.
