    A Child Of Abuse
    At home around those who gave him birth,
    Love should be without end.
    The heart should be filled with Joy,
    And the Eyes, Sparkle with the celestial light !

    Yet these things have been denied him
    As his home is one filled with Abuse,
    beatings come without need or reason,
    And the love in his heart
    Has been replaced by pain and fear.

    The child of abuse hides his wounds in the shadows,
    And the keeping of the secret
    Shreds his heart,
    And Torments his soul.

    Look into the eys
    Of the Child in the Shadows,
    And the truth shall be revealed.

    Give him your Love,
    So that he may let go of the fear.
    Give him Hope,
    And allow the light of happiness
    To return to his eyes.

    Give him your Strength
    That he may become Strong.
    Give him your protection
    So that he may become free of the abuse.

    Give him these things,
    And you give him, A NEW LIFE !!!

    I can feel the little boys pain. feel him looking for the love he so longed for. very well written and expressed
