    A Child Is Coming

    Today life starts anew
As we learn the news of an impending birth,
For the stick has turned blue,
And my heart skips a beat
As it swells with a Love,
Such as I have Never known.

    Thoughts of little toy trucks
Or baby dolls and dresses fill my head,
As my mind swims within an ocean of wonder and happiness.

A Son to wrestle and play with,
Or a Daughter to dress up and spoil.
    I care not which.
    All that I ask
Is for my child to be born healthy,
    For I will gladly provide
    All the Love and Happiness,
    It shall ever need.

That poem made me think back to the times I found out I was pregnant. I cant wait to see what you write after the child is born..........it gets better and better. Good luck!!

very sweet...definately the feeling most people get when they get the news of an impending birth

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
