    My Unanswered Prayer

An uncountabl number of nights have gone by,
    With my single prayer
    Yet unanswered.

    I don't want the world,
Nor do I pray for riches.
But all that I ask in my single prayer,
    Is for the Lord
To take my Soul, This very night.
So i won't have to wake up in the morning,
    And endure yet another day
    Of Pain and Misery.

For on the day I was diagnosed with hiv,
    My heart was shredded
And my Spirit died at that moment.
    Leaving me all hollow,
    And empty within.

So now I must endure a living Hell,
    By esisting in a body
    that is devoid of spirit,
    And empty of love.

So i Often pray for my death,
    So that my Soul
May Finally be released from the prison,
    That my body has become.....

Thankfully my prayer was unanswered and i have moved beyond it !

The Lord hears your prayers... he hears your cry for strength, love, guidance, and is with you every moment to give you eternal life. You are in my prayers.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
