    A FEATHER IN THE WIND

    Throughout my life
    I've been blown
    everywhere
    from place to place
    each time I land
    I leave part
    of my feather there

    The more I land
    the less I have
    no one notices
    how my feather looks
    each time it took
    each time I land

    As time passes
the less of a feather I am
    I'm a lonely soul
    a feather of love
    just a single wing
    with a goal to win
    until one day
    I found the Lord
I am not a feather anymore
    I am a skeleton
of a feather blowing in the wind
    finally landing free
    between you and me
    in our sweet dream.

"Not a feather any more" ... now a skeleton. Ok! I can choose to see the positive inference of the image = A skeleton might easily speak of see though, open to all. I t would have to mean new beginnings for someone entering into the knowledge of Christ [ if you're talking about a personal relationship with Him.] As a newly ratified being one is only at the framework stage of understanding - the meat and bones coming with each trek along the way. Now you can grow to see the wings from which those feathers came. Order out of chaos (despite the nay sayers insistence) is an element of attainable interest.

Your thoughts are true and match my way of expressing.

psalm 62:6 He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defense; I shall not be moved. How true! Before we were saved by His beautiful Grace, we were unstable and shaky and always blowing around in the wind and falling apart! But now...we are solid and strong! this is a beautiful poem!

This poem is one that identifies a great find-The Lord. The skeleton will grow, and the person will become whole in the Lord. Great poem.

well chosen words and form support each other to make this a fine poem... good job Poet!!!

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
