ABOUT HIM

What I liked about him. Did he ever know?

There were no lengths to which I’d go

To glimpse his smile to touch his face

To bask untarnished in his grace

His thoughtfulness his caring too

And never did he ask of you

To be more you than you could be

He brought out the best in me

And now to say what we’ve been thru

I hope you meet that better you

No matter what you have to know

What I liked about you. Did you ever know?

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
