Broken Room

Broken Room

Cold spirit, run down my spine
Let me know I am still alive
Only a chair is left in the center of this room
Your footsteps leading the way out
I never wanted you to go

Do you remember how it was before?
Before you got up and walked out the door?
All the things you told my stuck to my heart
You told me not to cry,
Too late for that

Anything I would do to have you back
I would do
Because we went through too much
To be apart like this
Please, don't let the clock tell me its too late

Earth song, sing to me the way you did before
When the pleasent moon would hold me
Hushing my anxieties and harsh thoughts
The cool water soothing the argument away
I'm starting to miss you

Burning away all these memories will kill me
Not that you know, you're so far away
Daddy, why did you leave me?
