This World

This World

The quiet sun creeps above the darkness
Soon screaming upon the Earth rays bright and new
Stars fade into the lavish light
This world is awakened by such beauty
But the light shines on an ugly world

Tarnished by death
Ruined by sadness
Blood written letters on walls
So dark and unruly
Families torn apart

Somewhere in the sky
There is a place for me
Where I can rest on the moon
This world has no place for me
I want to rest in the sky.
