Fallen

Poem Commentary

The English version of "Caído".

Fallen

The storm settles in my heart
Where thunder and lightning break it in two

Everything that used to be sets sail into the sea
Saying goodbye to my old soul is such torment

God, please answer my whispered cries
In the dark I have fallen

There is no pleasant moon in sight, nothing in the ocean to make me rise
I am crying out in battle, I need to be saved from myself

I have fallen underneath the dead
Yet I am alive and breathing

Save me, for I have fallen.
