    Cancer

    One by one,
    split by split,
    eating away
    at every inch.
    Destroying all
    in its path.
    Bringing down
    the world around.
    Day by day,
    tear by tear,
    growing and conquering
    all in its path.
    Taking the good
    from this life.

I too have lost to cancer. However I also have a survivor, my father. I appreciate your graphic nature as there is nothing subtle about cancer. Again thank you.

My father died from cancer. And if I were to write a poem about it, it wouldn't be as graphic, but this relly captures the idea. I like it.

It's graphic because it's something that has haunted me and I needed to get it down.

Our own actions can be cancerous!!

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

    Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
