Double-Edged

Double-Edged

Shining Sun,
the warmth you bring,
your blaze scorching the burned.
Shedding light on those who've fallen,
mocking those who fall.
Greeting new days with a gleam,
ending with sorrow.
Spreading your rays throughout the world,
a double-edged sword.
Your fire, so bright,
the awe you bring,
the fear you hold.
The Life you hold so dear,
smothered in your bosom.

yes, the sun can be double edged along with rain, too much water, etc.........

Yes it can be; however, I used the sun as an analogy to a person that I know.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
