Stone Cold Gray

Stone Cold Gray

To see this world today
beneath this barren sky.
The hearts of others withered and dried.
No tears for those torn and tied.
Open palms scraped against these walls so high.

Stone cold brick so gray.
Overbearing in its ominous ways.
Tricking violence in its game.
Bringing shame to its name.
Suffer, tussle,
always in its hussle.
Getting caught up can cause you fame,
cause you shame.

Bringing this life against this knife,
buckle under knuckle and muscle.
Falling, falling, always falling.
Hit upon hit taken with pride,
this stance against stone cold gray.
Never seen until dismay.
Hand in hand, this human wall.
Clear blue vision to bare it all.

Thank you :)

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
