    Full Day

    The stars fade,
    and the horizon turns pink.
A firey ball rises over the lands,
    spreading its glory for all.
    Leaves turn and twist,
to search for a single ray.
    Petals follow its every move,
    their own entertainment.
    Grass sways in the breeze,
    giggles among the blades.
    Branches reach up,
as if they can touch the never ending blue.
    Soft clouds
    that drift lazily.
    Their mood often changing,
from soft whites to sharp grays.
    Birds singing their songs,
    their contribution to the day.
    As day turns into night,
to repeat the next full day

I like the play on words in this poem. The poem has a good message which to love nature and love the little pleasures of life.

Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.

Plato (BC 427-BC 347) Greek philosopher.
