    Cyber Queen

    I met her today in a virtual world,
    We spoke of days gone by.
    There was something about the way she wrote,
    That eventually caught my eye.

    She lived somewhere, far away,
    A place I had never seen,
    It seemed as if she sat right there,
    On my computer screen.

    Reality bends and twists one's mind,
    It makes one stop and think.
    How can a person feel so real,
    When accessed through a link.

    We talked forever, exchanged our names,
    We were both caught up in the scene.
    Life feels so perfect, seems surreal,
    When your in love with a cyber queen.

    kmooney, you always speak to me. Your poetry is full of life and truth. How I love this. You spoke so truly of meeting a person over line and meeting that connection on screen. So realistic. Keep on writing.

    It can be a bit scary sometimes trying to connect with other people,who we don't really know via the internet,but there are ways to safely do it.When we can let our guard down a little bit and allow someone else to see who we really are;we experience the special magic of sharing thoughts,feelings and experiences with someone else through one of the greatest treasures of our technological society.Thank you for sharing this very unique and inspiring poem.     I find it funny that I had meatloaf playing when I read this; your poem seems to me that it should should be a power ballad. I like it.

    You really captured the atmosphere and the essence...That is reality to your soul because both the two of you are communicating///but in terms of day to day well? what ya think...lol...I enjoyed this one
