Death of a Facebook Page

Death of a Facebook Page

The devil reached his hand inside my head and loosed the latch,
immediately all kinds of evil seeds began to hatch!
I tried my mortal best to fight against his sordid plans,
but who am I to fight The Horde, I'm just a mortal man.
I realized that I need help and can't do this alone,
I went through all my Contacts on the list inside my phone.
None of them could do a thing, for "The World" entrapped them too,
so I had to go another route to see what I should do.
I called out to MY JESUS and and the answer slowly came,
I tell you all the truth there really is power in that name!
My Lord, He said one simple word, it sounded soft and sweet.
He knelt down to my ear and whispered gently..................DELETE!!!!!

I liked how the message about Facebook was told differently, not directly. I thought your approach to the subject was humorous but a little too obvious. The rhyming was captivating but seemed a little immature. I think you have potential to write greater works.

This simple, immature, obvious approach is what I like to call: "Putting the peanut butter on the bottom shelf so everyone can reach it!" Thank you for you astute observations though!

I had to laugh because I just went through this ordeal trying to figure out whether or not I should keep my Facebook page. I ended up keeping it but it's amazing the inner battle I went through over such a seemingly simple situation hahaha. Cool poem!

Thank you for enjoying my work! I love to reach people through my writing.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
